Starting blocks have been used since the early 1900s to give athletes an advantage when starting a race, by pushing off from a stable object. Over the years they’ve developed into the high-tech starting blocks, also known as a running blocks, that we see in athletics today. With running blocks being a necessity for all athletes, they’ve become a staple product in our starting equipment range.
Who Can Use Our Running Blocks?
We supply many different varieties which are designed to suit every athlete, no matter their ability or budget. All of our track and field starting blocks are adjustable in both the length of stride and in the angle of the footplate. This helps to ensure that each block suits the individual athlete giving them the best start to any race.
Not only are Stadia’s starting blocks built to suit any athlete but a multitude of fixings allows for them to be placed on both a synthetic track and on grass. Hence, they’re built for use for both professional races and school sports days.
What Do They Consist Of?
Our starting blocks usually consist of three individual parts: the left-hand footplate, the right-hand footplate and the centre track. Though for a cheaper option we provide running blocks which come as one intact piece. These are ideal as school starting blocks and can be supplied with a universal carry bag for ease of transportation.
