DISCUS / HAMMER THROWING CAGES
For the purposes of UK Athletics certification, hammer cages must meet the specifications laid down either in the UKA Rules of Competition (latest edition) or the I.A.A.F. Competition Rules (latest edition). Netting panels must be at least 7m high, with gates a minimum of 9m in height. As far as certification is concerned there is no distinction between training and competition. The specifications outlined above are equally applicable.
School athletic facilities which have no community or club usage do not fall within the remit of UK Athletics and provided that no UK Athletics certificate is required, neither UK Athletics nor I.A.A.F. rules apply. However, schools should always bear in mind the safety aspects of hammer throwing and wherever UK Athletics specification hammers are in use, UK Athletics would recommend that cages should meet UK Athletics specifications.

All metalwork is fully galvanised.

Gates, 40mm x 40mm x 4mm steel at top, 50mm x 50mm x 3mm steel at bottom.

Complete with gates, 5mm green knotless netting throughout, all stays and supports.

Suitable for hammer and discus.
Same general design as the Stadium cage but with 10m high gates, additional gate anchor supports and one extra post. Complies with current regulations for meetings held under IAAF jurisdiction.
Net lowering system for main net and gates fitted as standard for Stadium Plus cages.
2 gate post anchors per gate post.
1 post anchor for each of the two posts immediately next to the actual gatepost.
